Walnut panelling, a deep-buttoned headboard and original 1926 casement windows over the courtyard.
Ninety-six rooms and suites inside a restored 1920s jewel box — terrazzo floors, brass lifts, an emerald cocktail bar and the kind of service the decade was famous for.

Built as the Meridian Trust building in 1926, The Gilded spent four years under restoration. We kept the terrazzo, the brass and the sunburst lift doors — and added deep mattresses, rain showers and silent air.
Every room keeps a piece of the original building — a window, a mosaic, a door handle — paired with linen by Frette and a pillow menu.

Gold-leaf ceiling cove, a velvet daybed and a soaking tub framed by the original terrazzo.
The whole top floor: two bedrooms, a glass-walled bath, a dining table for eight and a butler on call.

Gin martinis, oysters and a live trio every Thursday beneath a hand-painted ceiling.
